Creekside Estate Winery has been doing its premium thing on the Niagara Peninsula since 1997, beginning as a small winery with 11 acres under vine. Over the years,it expanded its vineyards to include its premium red growing site, Queenston Road Vineyard, located in the St. David’s Bench. The winery, located in Jordan, has become a wine-lover’s destination, located slightly off the beaten path, but still in the heart of Niagara wine country.
The Creekside team decided early-on to make the relatively atypical (for Niagara) grape varieties of Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah the core focus of the wine portfolio.
Creekside's portfolio is the story of a winery that refuses to be pigeon-holed. The winery is a bastion for inspired experimentation, with a winemaking team that delights in defying Niagara winemaking conventions. At the time, both grapes were newcomers to the Ontario winemaking scene, but were also showing tremendous potential in the Niagara climate. Over the years, new grape varieties, winemaking techniques and wine styles were embraced by the winery. With each vintage, Creekside houses a throng on experimental wine batches and blends as an ongoing push towards discovering something new and exciting to go into bottle. The winery mantra: Make great wine, and never stop experimenting.
